YAC promotes advocacy for youth in care of the Children’s Aid Society. Over the last 8 years, YAC has grown from 5 youth around a table to a group of 20 plus young people, ages 12 to 20 who receive services from the Children’s Aid Society.
The specific project that will be impacted by the Advance Party is, Creating Connections for Life. It will provide YAC with technology that will allow them to expand their presence at local, provincial and national meetings and events where they have a presence at the table. It will in many cases bring these activities to them.
The YAC group is an inspiration to all of us and are examples of how every child can aspire to his or her dreams with the support and encouragement of those who believe in them.
